Electronic Timing & Scoring Fee – $10: With each round of the M4K Racing Series we will use electronic timing and scoring. ALL members/riders are required to use a transponder and pay a timing and scoring fee. Whether you own a personal transponder or use one of Moto 4 Kids' units, this is a necessary fee required to register. If the transponder is not returned post race, a replacement fee for the full amount will be assessed.
BEGINNER CLASSES: First Timer/Beginner is an entry level class for those new to the sport. Advancement will be at the discretion of the race officials. To participate in any “BEGINNER” class, you must have less than 1 year of racing experience. Beginner racers are limited to select classes as indicated in the class description as "Beginner" found on the registration page. Our goal is to grow this sport, so we reserve the right to move any racer up to the next class. We will attempt to get everyone in their proper class at the first race of the series. If this happens to you or your child, please understand it is a compliment, you or your child is better than you thought. "Sandbagging" will not be tolerated, we will attempt to provide fair competitive racing for everyone! We encourage racers to race up in class, not down.
Eligibility For End of Series POINTS & AWARDS Banquet: You must ride 3 of the 3 rounds to be eligible for Series Points & Awards. We will take all points earned for the series end results, and will carry them towards the championship and honor TOP 3 in class for the series end Championship Awards Banquet.
The Following Classes Are NOT Eligible for End of Series Points & Championship Awards:
- 51cc Beginner
- 65cc Beginner
- 85cc/Supermini Beginner
Rider’s Meeting: Make sure to attend or view the rider’s meeting. Race Operations will go over the scoring type (two-moto format), number of laps for each class, as well as starting and race procedures. The rider’s meeting will be the week prior to the race weekend, and offered via live stream on Instagram. Riders in the first three-motos will need to make their way to the staging area immediately after the national anthem.
Race Staging: Make sure to arrive at the staging area at least two-motos before your race. The Staging Manager will call riders and Mechanic (1 per rider) for the first-moto based on pre-registration sign-up. Make sure to stay in order while making your gate selection. Second-moto gate selection will be based on the first-moto finishing results.
Second Gate Drop: If you happen to be in a race that is a second gate drop you will need to be prepared (second gate is typically a slower or younger age group of riders) The staging manager will notify you of your gate as he calls your name for gate selection. Between first and second gate drops you will be povided a maximum of 30 seconds, so you will need to be positioned and ready for your start. We encourage you to choose any empty gate to ensure you're ready to go! If you are uncertain of your gate, please ask the staging manger to confirm.
SPECTATORS: For your safety, and the safety of the riders you are NOT permitted to enter the Race Track at anytime. A designated Mechanics area will be available for one (1) parent/mechanic with wristband.
MOTO 4 KIDS RACING - PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT/TRACK ETIQUETTE: M4K Racing plays an important role in promoting the emotional and physical development of children. Moreover, adults involved should be models of good sportsmanship and should lead by example. Parent(s) if you fail to conform to Moto 4 Kids Racing's Parent Code of Conduct and Track Etiquette, you will be subject to disciplinary action depending upon the severity of the offense.
